Canada Post service disruption

Canada Post mail disruption

During a mail disruption, you are expected to continue paying bills on time. Be sure you don’t miss any deadlines. In the event of a disruption now and in the future, you can easily pay bills by visiting one of our branches, calling our branches or through online and mobile banking. If you receive any cheques by mail – including government cheques – you can set up direct deposit for convenience and to avoid any delays.

The current rotating strike will continue to delay mail delivery and expect disruptions to continue as this is an ongoing national issue.

Please provide your email address to your branch the next time you're in or contact by phone to help us communicate directly with you for important messaging about your account or other mandatory information that we need to share with you.

Please be aware of the following during a Canada Post mail disruption

  • Paper monthly statements and anything sent through the mail – including debit cards and credits cards – from Vision Credit Union could be delayed.
  • Collabria Credit Card statements sent by mail could also experience delays.
  • Members who are enrolled in online banking can view account history and eStatements anytime. Electronic statements are secure, easy to access and you don’t have to wait for mail.
  • Through online banking, you can also complete many transactions including paying bills and depositing cheques using our mobile app on your smartphone.
